Second Friday

Yes, a week has passed since school suddenly closed! ... it does feel like it has been a LONG week ... Long as in the days were long - not long as in boring etc ... (Although at times it was boring) ...

At times, writing these blog posts feels a bit like 'Anne Frank's Diary' (GD forbid) ... but THANKFULLY - we are in a spacious apartment, we not in danger because of our religion and we have a fridge and cupboards full of food. TG Phil still has work and there is internet!!!

The streets are eerily quiet - even Azi commented today. Restaurants, barbers, cafe's, shops have closed. Supermarkets, corner stores, some retailers and pharmacies are open.

Everyone is VERY suspicious of everyone else ... and nobody wants too greet anyone, stand near anyone etc ... its all very sad and isolating.

There is a lot of debate whether we should be going out of the house or staying home Completely - to 'flatten the curve' ... personally, at the moment, I feel our family is vey low risk, we don't socialise with high risk people and we are keeping our physical distance from everyone. I try get out to exercise once a day (at least), the kids spend most days indoors .. the struggle is to get them off the screen and moving.

My belief still remains that in this situation everyone goes through the steps - denial, panic, confusion, acceptance .. I think we have reached acceptance (for now)

Ok, today - Azi woke at 6:10 - she managed to listen to an audio book until just before 7 ... then TV ... At 9 she came with me to personal training outdoors and loved it (she did all the running with us) .. Zaz went into your calls in the classroom. We came home, Azi had her classroom call, I had a parent-teacher meeting with Zaz English Teacher. Then Az and I went to the Toy store to get a Giant Lego for her and Zaz to do (got a nice surprise discount)

Home for lunch. Zaz made tuna salad! .. Then Azi and I built her car ... Zaz worked on her passion project - a Youtube video ... then Zaz did some dancing, Azi did some Art, we all had a bit of snooze.

Then my passion project (a new something every day) - I made a kale, butternut and pomegranate salad .. very yum! And kale crisps that I actually enjoyed.

Phil made yummy KFC .. a nice dinner together ....

ZaZ was exhausted and went to bed ...
