This little stinky!

Started off as a good morning - watermelon and iPad!
Luxury!

Then she nearly fell asleep in the car - so we didn't go to music class!

But she didn't fall asleep! So we chilled on promenade!

After picking Zaz up and coming home - Azi was extremely quiet - only for me to discover that she had thrown all her clothes out of her cupboard and onto the floor!

I kept saying, 'Azi you will only get xyz when the clothes are back in your cupboard) ... She didn't everything else (like squirting the cleaning agent into the glass) but putting her clothes in the cupboard!

Then she dragged these boxes into the living room claiming that the clothes had been picked up and referring to the boxes as, 'such interesting boxes, filled with clothes'

Hard to argue with that!

Book bargains

So - Azi and I were walking along today, and a church had a big sign saying book sale, so in we went!

I swear - there were books there from 1970! (Books on Joan Collins - isn't she dead? )

Well - I picked up the 1998 Guinness world records (thought she could compare the figures with the 2016 that's she's reading at school) - already in 1998 the biggest baby born was 7kg - now it's 9kg - hormones in our food!

Anyway - sim and Linds - the books were cheaper than at our sales!

Oh yes - and this Shaka book?! In Malta?!

My favourite type of afternoons ..

Chilled!

Zaz wanted to make lemonade - so I left her to it! And she did it! Very yummy lemonade! And she got Azi involved.

And then it was free time!

Somehow Zaz became a princess, and Azi copied!

Then they cleaned the balcony!

And we all just laughed and chilled!

Happy happy!

Only for Azi

Would I sneak out of Shabbat dinner at the Rebbetzin (at the restaurant) and buy her an ice cream next door!

Then we have to sit in the 'cold' (compared to inside) air!

Thursday is beach day!

The beach was the fullest I have seen it (and when we were leaving about 70 school teens arrived)

Walking down to the beach - we nodded to the local car park guy (always reminds me of my days at Clifton - except this guy owns the the monopoly at this car park)

Then I saw 'shakes' big cousins!!! (All 8 of them) - I do miss shakes! These are 'jeep safaris' - they pick up the people from the cruise ships and take them around the island ... I had to laugh - it says on the front windscreen, 'seat belts must be worn'.. And yet, where are the seat belts?!

When leaving the beach, we witnessed real live raw emotion of a reality show that surprises people, something something!

I received a huge gift!

From Phil and Malta - so I want to say a huge thank you!!!

Malta and Phil have given me the gift of chilled out time with Azi and Zaz!

For some reason life just seems to be more chilled here! The mornings are less rushed, the walk to the bus, waiting for bus, walk to school provides time to chat and chill and sing ...

This is repeated after school ...

I definitely feel more connected and chilled around the kids!

Yes - there is still room for improvement ...

But for the last few days - I have felt so privileged and blessed (cliched - but so true)

Ps: in sitting watching Azi wiggle around in the pool while her big sister does lengths with the swimming teacher! ... This is the same child who refused to look at the swimming teacher 3 months ago ...

Pre-Seder!

Pesach Seders

First night pesach - 3 guests came to our house @ 6pm - we danced, sang, told the pesach story .. Zaz led us in a few games, we did the Seder plate - ate, chatted, laughed, had dessert - sang 'who knows 1' ... This is the pic taken at 10:30!

Second night - Phil got a terrible stomach bug ... Stayed home and put Azi to sleep. We went to the Chabad restaurant at 8 - the Seder started at 9:30, the piles and piles of food came
at 11:11 ... Had a great chat to the bogrim about their lives (incredible stories of their great grandfather having an underground movement in ww2 and helping 1000's of people to escape, and their grandmother spending 1 day in aushwitz and the next day was liberation) ... At midnight they started the second part of the Seder - Zaz and I escaped!

FB makes the world small!

So my friend who I worked with for a short period at Shalom baby (nicest person) .., posted a pic of her holiday in Melbourne!

The last pic I recognized the guy - so I messaged her and asked who he is!

As soon as she told me the name (and it's her sisters husband) - I cringed!

I took Marc to my matric dance - at very last notice, as my partner got chickenpox ...

I was totally head over heels with Marc!

I have not thought about that evening for many many years ... And this photo bought all those (cringe moments) of that night back ... Oh vey!
