Im sitting here writing this as Azi sits, watching tv, with a plate of avo on toast and chews through the yummy pieces of sour dough (which need a good chew)
Azi certainly keeps all of us on our toes! And it often feels like Phil, I, my mom and Cassi and Bern - are her little servants running around trying to satisfy her ... From her shouts of, 'I want coconut water' 'I want a treat' 'I don't want to go to .... ' 'I want to play on your telephone' ... And if these demands are not met - it's often followed by a cute, 'but please, only for 1 minute, I promise'. OR hands to the side with a - what are you thinking crazy people face OR hands folded over the body, lower lip over and a grumpy grumpy face (maybe followed by a big cry)
Thankfully - these days it's easier to negotiate with her and make 'deals' ... And thankfully, we now are demanding she uses correct language like, 'please' etc and she will often 'back down' and say 'ooookaaayyy' in a low voice and then ask for it again in a less demanding way ...
And that's the thing with Azi - you not too sure what you going to get! She can be adorable cute and expressive and funny and adventurous, Or she can be moody and grumpy and very demanding!
In the mornings she shouts, 'mom, dad, mom, dad - which gets progressively more urgent with every call' ... When I go get her - she says, 'I don't want you - I want dad' (as she lies and stretches out her body) ... And then it's a negotiation to keep her voice down to not wake Zaz (although I think the world could end of Zaz wouldn't wake up! ) ... And to take Azi downstairs.
Azi is also very good at asking for everything - she will never just take! She asks, 'can I touch this xyz' , 'mom- can I eat xyz' ... In the sweetest voice! You can't help but saying yes'
She loves the 'paddle pool' and the swimming pool - but does not like the sea (even on a flat day) she said, 'I'm
Scared of the sea, too many big ways'
As soon as you say to Azi gelato Messina or treat, she gets this big open mouth excited look on her face, and starts jumping with 2 feet!
Oh yes, pretending to be a kangaroo, jumping with 2 feet, pretending to be mommy elephant and baby elephants and a million other 'let's pretend' games and running races - are the new favs!
I know have Azi shouting, 'let me have your telephone' .. So I better go
We love you Azi and all your personalities!
